It’s here at last – the day my vision becomes a reality

For the last nine months I’ve been working on a revamp of my ‘Confidence with Colour and Style’ cards, to improve the offering following extensive feedback in 2023. I’m really proud of what I have created with the help of my team of experts, and I’m delighted to announce the official launch of my new website today, 1st May. I’d love you to take a look and let me know what you think www.yourstylistinabox.com.

This hasn’t been a solo journey and I’d like to publicly acknowledge the support and guidance of those who’ve helped turn my vision into reality.

Firstly, thank you to the stylists that had a sneak preview at my pre-launch on 17th April and said they loved what I’ve been cooking up. They endorsed my products and encouraged me to keep going on this incredible journey to bring these professionally finished cards to market.

I probably shouldn’t give the secrets away of who is in this awesome team, but they do need to be thanked for all their sublime efforts on my behalf which brought this product to market (ladies first, and using surname alphabetical order):

Natasha Baggs of Be Visibly You, Brand Photographer, who brought the product to life.

Heidi Bawden, Video Production.

Kara Birrell of The Passionate PA, for enthusiastic support when I needed admin help.

Louise Bullivant for allowing Tash and I to include her in the pictures, and for using her home, bedroom and wardrobe as the backdrop.

Nicky Dee, wordsmith, and copywriter who took the whole product up to a new level. A recent addition to the team, but your way of presenting the words and fast turnaround times have helped me add the finishing touches to the product.

Christina Dolding of The Colleague & Customer Experience Company, for always keeping me focussed on the customer experience and journey, and for your constant enthusiasm and drive.

Christine Hammacott of The Art of Communication for the brand artwork and business support. I absolutely love your work and I’ve come to appreciate your talent even more lately.

Alison Jones, from Dancewise Studio, another business entrepreneur who came up with the name for the brand. I will be forever grateful for “that moment!”

Sophie Personne, relationship and dating expert coach, for enthusiastic support and advice. You might not have realised that you were on the team as you haven’t been paid, but your interventions were invaluable – you’ll reap your reward one day!

Claire Sutton of Minerva Marketing for input to the website and marketing advice.

Jenny Webb, my fabulous professional Federation of Image Professionals International (FIPI) mentor who has been with me on the journey over the last three years.

Alex, Dave, and John at Diguru – who are extraordinary printers (I’m so glad we met, through networking, Alex). Your advice and patient and prompt responses are much appreciated.

Rob Dewing of Northerwood for the websites, platform security and hosting.

And to all who have kept the secret of what I’ve been up to over the last nine months. This includes many of my wonderful clients, who were enthusiastic about my developing this current product. Your feedback was instrumental in fine-tuning the product.

There are a few people I’d also like to mention – my hairdresser and beauty parlour owners, as well as people like Nicky Kildunne of the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB), and Matthew Lawson of the New Forest Business Partnership, Trudy Simmons for creating the wonderful support community that is The Hampshire Women in Business Facebook Group who have also been involved along the way in some shape or form, to help me create this new product. I am grateful to you all. And, not least to Eloise Burton – the Money Alchemist – who allowed me to use her idea of her fabulous Money Cards, and Ainslie Chivers (The Print Lady) who got involved early on with version 1 of the cards.

Your Stylist in a Box has been constructed with the vision, creativity, knowledge, and experience that I’ve gathered over the last 15 years as a personal stylist and business entrepreneur, along with the help of all the wonderful other business owners mentioned – mostly solopreneurs. If I have left anyone out, I do apologise, but I couldn’t give all my secrets away so that you’re too busy to help me in the future!

This is a shout-out to networking, professionalism, and small businesses, and I am so thankful for everyone who has been on this journey with me. I hope it is a success, not just for me (and my very supportive and long-suffering husband) but for all who are going to be helped by it.

Bring on the sales and feedback. I’m both eager and nervous to see what happens – exciting times ahead.
